Water should not be used when cleaning the carpet as it dissolves the carpet fibres. However, a washed cloth can be used to try to soak up as much of the spilled liquid as possible. When cleaning, the jute carpet should be vacuumed. If a stain appears on the carpet, it should be taken care of immediately. For a longer life, the carpet should also be vacuumed frequently on both sides and on the floor underneath. Airing once or twice a year is also recommended.
